This is certainly one of the most incredible journeys that I have ever done in my life ... Try to imagine: a train older than 30 years, and whose cars have never, never been serviced since... No more windows, no more doors, holes in the celing and a floor where one could almost pass through ... The comfort is basic: the chairs are hard wood ... Once a week, this train connects Phnom Penh, the capital, to Battambang, one of the other cities of Cambodia, located in Northwest ... 273 km, or Less than 170 miles ... This train is from another time, another age ... Some say it's the last train Khmer Rouge ... There is unbearably hot, and sometimes much colder when the gusts of rain through the cars ... It took us 18 hours to connect Battambang ... Of course, I had the time time to take some photos, beautiful meetings too ... And strangely we were very very happy to be finally arrived ... I do not know if this train is still as his condition was terrible ...
A last thing : we came back to Phnom Penh... by bus... it took us that time 7 hours... :)
