"Still the real art of portraiture..."
Portraits of business, industry, portraits of leaders, leaders,
corporate photos, group photos, press kit, mobile studio on site before
all the Art of Portrait ...
Photographing a leader, a leader, a CEO in business is never easy.
Indeed, these people usually have very little time, are often very
traditional in their photographic desires, while remaining among the
most demanding ... In addition, offices, buildings or premises are not
all examples of modern architectural design, graphics, bright ... The
exercise is dangerous. Twelve years in Figaro Magazine taught me that
we can still think outside the box by photographing "Sir" - and its
employees, other than behind a desk .. I made a rule, "photo behind a
desk = forbidden ... Also, many people believe that a good portrait is
a portrait technically successful, focused, well exposed, and why not
with some lighting effects ... False!. A good portrait is essentially a
mini story, an introspection of the person you have in front of you ...
and the art of portraiture is to identify a personality in a relatively
short time ...
Short. If a good photo sells, I learned that a bad photo could also be "de-sell" ... I remain very surprised to see large companies, major industrial groups, spending hundreds of thousands of euros for brochure advertising, catalogs, websites and neglecting the quality of their photos, especially that of their portraits. While digital has been there, and everyone knows how to take a picture ... - "You need a head portrait ? Don't move, I'll get my new digital camera ... You will see, this is the last one! You can even make movies with ... Stay in front of the white wall, I'm coming !..." As technology goes, the world, the quest for profit at any cost ... However, after several years of "everything and anything, the trend is reversed and we returned slowly to a search of higher quality ... No doubt that the picture of the pattern on a white wall has not had the desired effect, or worse, could even generate some thoughts like "...Don't you think that your picture seems to be a little kitch, what a pity!" ...
There's no real secret to make a good
portrait, but, for sure, there are certain rules. Above all to love
what we do and who we photograph, (I know this may seem quaint, or
worse, impossible, but who cares!) Observe, listen, listen, understand
and inspirations ... deal with. To say that the most successful
portraits are not the most complicated, most worked, the more
technical. I do one thing: the light, which for me is a reflection of
the soul ...
For over fifteen years, I photographed the greatest as the most
destitute. Yet, oddly, my approach has often been the same: learn to
give before taking ... I learned that the first law of our universe was
that of the resonance: "You get what you give ..." May these few random
pictures from my archives you feel that the art of portrait photography
is foremost in exchange ...
